A boy and his puppy

6am and we were on our way
it looked like it was going to be a cracker of a day

Lakyn thought we had gone a little bit crazy,
although is was so early in the morning everything was a bit hazy

Going to pick up a puppy, it was a 4 hour trip,
thinking up names like, Gus, Baz, Hobbs and Chip

We arrived at the farm so elated,
the dogs that greeted us seemed very sedated

The puppies all greeted us with a fuss,
it was hard to choose just one to take home with us

One of them attached themselves to Lakyns side,
we said ‘we’ll take this one,’ our excitement was hard to hide

On our way home our little puppy slept like a dream, 
Lakyn giggled and grinned like the cat that got the cream

 

For this little boy and his puppy let the adventure start,
